Below you can search for information about General Orientation and your Programme-specific Orientation.

Orientation activities will be a combination of Recommended and Optional events, some online before you arrive and some on campus, if you are a campus-based student. You may be required to attend elements, this information will come directly from your Programme Team.

You should attend all 'Recommended' elements and you are strongly encouraged to engage in our online and on campus activities.

Exploring the Campus
There are multiple ways you can explore our campus:
1. Once you have retrieved your schedule, you will find a key below it that explains room numbers and locations.
2. Use our interactive virtual model, DCU Campus Explorer, to search for rooms, take tours, and navigate the campuses. This is optimised for Desktop use.
3. Maps of our campuses are available in the key.
4. Don't forget to 'Book a Tour' on dcu.ie/orientation.
Card Collection Process
Card Collection (Postgraduate)
Postgraduate students may come to collect a card on campus from 4th September on Glasnevin Campus.
For postgraduate students who may not attend campus regularly or attend campus after 5pm, you must upload a photo and proof of ID during the registration steps. After uploading these you can use the form below to apply for a Student ID card.
Please allow between 5 - 7 working days for your card to be posted.

You must be registered to receive a DCU student card
Card Collection (Distance Learners)
For distance learners who may not attend campus regularly or attend campus after 5pm, you must upload a photo and proof of ID during the registration steps. After uploading these you can use the form below to apply for a Student ID card.
Please allow between 5 - 7 working days for your card to be posted.
