What are INTRA Internships?

The INTRA programme is an accredited and highly valued part of student learning at DCU. It is a compulsory element of many degree programmes and must be completed in order to graduate. INTRA provides an opportunity for employers to benefit from the talent and skills of students across a range of disciplines including Business, Science, Computing, Engineering and Humanities. Our hard working and enthusiastic students have spent their first years of college learning the theory and pursuing the practical. Now they are ready to experience the real world of work and are eager to apply their knowledge and skills in a practical setting.

Connecting Students and Employers

The INTRA team manage the process of connecting employers with relevant student groups. We pride ourselves on providing employers with a pool of highly skilled and work-ready candidates. Over the past 30 years, we have cultivated many successful relationships and placed thousands of students with employers in Ireland and abroad. We facilitate students' professional development and guide them in the techniques required for developing professional CVs, performing at interview and working effectively. This is achieved through presentations, seminars, group work and one-to-one support.
