How to book an appointment:

There are three tabs below which are clickable. Simply select the appointment type you need (e.g. to book with a general Student Advisor, select the Student Advice Appointment.). 

Our Learning Skills Advisors can assist with the following:

  • Note taking
  • Effective reading strategies
  • Time management
  • Groupwork and presentations
  • Exam preparation
  • Academic writing

We can meet with you in Glasnevin, St Patrick's, and online via Zoom. 

The Writing Centre is currently closed and will re-open for Semester 2 in late January.

Our Academic Writing Coaches can provide advice and support regarding any aspect of academic writing, including: 

  • Academic language and phrasing
  • Assignment structure
  • Building an argument
  • Critical thinking and writing
  • Integrating sources into your writing
  • Specific assignment types, e.g. case studies, reflective writing, literature reviews, etc. 

Please note: support with citing and referencing is provided by the DCU Library
