Physics Research Day 2025

The annual School of Physical Sciences Research Day took place on the afternoon of Thursday the 15th May. 

The afternoon involved a showcase of the exciting and diverse research being undertaken by the by our academic and research staff, our postgraduate students and our undergraduate students. 

As always the day involved a student poster competition sponsored by BOC Gases. 

There were six prizes awarded across four categories. The Overall Postgraduate Prize winner was Matthew Wright,  the Early-stage Postgraduate Prize winner was Eva Gurley, the Final Year Project Prize winner was Hannah McDonnell and the Runner-up was Darcy Bedford.

The INTRA Project Prize winner was Tom Doyle and the Runner-up was Enrico Marchision.
