Dr Farhad Uddin Ahmed
Farhad Uddin Ahmed is an Assistant Professor of Strategy and International Business at Brunel Business School, Brunel University London. He received his PhD in International Business from the University of Dublin, Trinity College Ireland. Prior to his current affiliation, Farhad worked as a Lecturer in Management at Monash University, and completed Postdoctoral Research Fellowship from Dublin City University 2019-20.
Farhad's research interests lie at the intersection of Strategy, Entrepreneurship and International Business focusing on the interplay between institutional and entrepreneurial factors, and firms' early internationalization from emerging markets. He has published in several prestigious journals including: Asia Pacific Journal of Management, International Marketing Review, International Journal of Entrepreneurial Behaviour & Research, and the Journal of International Entrepreneurship. Farhad also reviews for the International Small Business Journal, and Journal of Business Research. Winning several awards his research papers were nominated for the Best Paper Award in the Academy of Management Conference 2021 within Gender and Entrepreneurship track, and won the Best Paper Award in International Business Track at the British Academy of Management Conference 2022. For outstanding contributions to business education, he has been awarded a Fellowship of the Commercial Education Society Australia (FCES).
