We are delighted to announce that the Diploma in Irish will return to DCU.
This is a wonderful partnership between Acadamh na hOllscola¨ªochta Gaeilge, University of Galway and the Irish Language Office, Dublin City University.
This year you will have the opportunity to do course. This is a part time course that runs over two academic years.
This course is perfect for you if you want to:
- Add to your fluency in both written and spoken Irish? OR
- Do a Master¡¯s in Education and a qualification in teaching?
* The course at level B2 can be used as an alternative to a second-level qualification in Irish and the course is recognised by the Department of Education, additional information here
Course overview:
- The course will begin on Wednesday, 02 October on DCU St. Patricks Campus.
- The cost of the course: is €250 per year for full time DCU students ¨C it¡¯s usually €990 per year.
- First year ¨C 20 weeks in total over semester 1 and 2
- Second year ¨C 20 weeks in total over Semester 1 and 2

- Complete the online application before the 12.00, Thursday, 26th September. Link here
- You will be receive a link to the Triall Teanga, complete and submit.
- You will then be able to pay online to secure your place

Seachtain na Gaeilge is an international Irish language festival and one of the biggest celebrations of our native language and culture that takes place each year in Ireland and in many other countries.
