DCU Age-Friendly University is delighted to welcome Ms. Alison Bough from AGE Platform Europe and Active Retirement Network for a session on ‘Let’s Raise Intergenerational Awareness.’

Ms. Alison Bough, the Irish representative of AGE Platform Europe, the largest European network of non-profit organisations of and for older people, will explore the importance of fostering intergenerational connections and their role in building cohesive, age-inclusive societies.
She will highlight best practices in promoting intergenerational dialogue and collaboration to reduce social isolation and strengthen community bonds. In addition, she will discuss the European Commission’s commitment to intergenerational solidarity, including the 2020 Green Paper on Ageing and the recent proposal for a Commissioner for Intergenerational Fairness to ensure EU policymaking considers the interests of future generations.
