Institute of Ethics Project Funding

The School of Theology, Philosophy, and Music is pleased to announce that the DCU Institute of Ethics has been awarded a substantial grant award as part of the Horizon 2020 initiative, a project that includes partners from Belgium, the Netherlands, the UK, Croatia, Spain, Germany, Norway, and the US. The project is entitled EnTIRE: Mapping Normative Frameworks for EThics and Integrity of REsearch, and will explore the increasingly important area of research ethics and integrity. The overall aim of the project is to create a platform that makes the normative framework governing Research Ethics and Research Integrity easily accessible, supports application in research and evaluation, and involves all stakeholders in a participatory way, thus achieving sustainability. The platform will foster uptake of ethical standards and responsible conduct of research, and ultimately support research excellence and strengthen society¡¯s confidence in research and its findings. The share of the funding for the DCU Institute of Ethics is €486,000.
