Academic biography
I am an Assistant Professor in Physical Education. I originally qualified with a BSc honors degree in Physical Education with Biology here in DCU, after which, I began my PhD here also.
I am passionate about children's health and physical activity. My research interests revolve around designing and implementing strategies and interventions to develop children's movement competence and physical literacy skills, as well as trying to enhance physical education in Ireland.
I have taught on a wide range of modules in the PE & Biology, PE & Maths, Sports Science and Athletic Therapy and Training courses, such as Motor Control, Motor Development, Games, Athletics, Aquatics, Programme Decisions & policy in PE and An Introduction to Teaching Health Related Activity in PE to name but a few.
