- What is a Diploma Supplement?
It is a concise document aimed at improving transparency in higher education internationally and in aiding the mobility of students. It facilitates the international recognition of qualifications as it is easily comparable and promotes the fair evaluation of qualifications.
It is designed to provide a description of the nature, level, context, content and status of the studies that were pursued and successfully completed by the individual named on the original qualification to which the supplement is appended.
The diploma supplement comprises eight sections. It contains Information identifying the holder of the qualification, information identifying the qualification and level of the qualification, information on the contents and results obtained by the holder, information on the function of the qualification, additional information, certification of the supplement and information on the national higher education system.
