Recognition of Prior Learning Appeal Policy (RPL)
This appeals policy is for RPL applicants who have been through a formal DCU RPL application process and received a decision in relation to their RPL application. Before considering an appeal, the applicant should seek feedback on the application outcome. The DCU RPL application process can be found here, /recognition-prior-learning.

DCU Admissions Appeal Policy
This appeals policy is for all other DCU applicants who have applied to DCU and received a decision in relation to their application.
The Admissions Appeal Form will be available in January 2025
The DCU admissions appeal form may be used by any candidate* who submits an application to Dublin City University to enrol in a programme of study in the current academic year. The form must be submitted within 20 working days of the date of the decision.
*Appeals may be submitted only by the applicant. Appeals submitted by a third party will not be considered.
Before completion of this form, applicants must read the relevant admissions appeal policy (above).
An appeal will only be considered where there is adequate grounds for appeal, as published in the relevant admissions appeal policy. Appeals on any other basis will not be considered.

Applicants will receive an outcome in writing within 20 working days of receipt of the appeal.
