Our confidential Employee Assistance Service is and is designed to support you and your immediate family members (18+) to resolve personal or work-related concerns.
Get immediate access to a wide variety of mental health and practical services.
Spectrum Life is DCU's EAS service provider.
Confidentiality guaranteed
All services provided through the Spectrum Life EAS are treated in the strictest of confidence. The identity of individuals and personal details will always be protected by the Case Managers/team of counsellors.

Services Offered
The Employee Assistance Service (EAS) is a confidential programme at no additional cost that provides you and your family members with immediate help and support in managing whatever work or personal issues you are facing.
They offer unlimited access for you and your family, to a telephone helpline, available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

The EAS provides you with immediate access to ‘In the Moment’ support for your mental wellbeing with a wide variety of problems.
The service provides access to a fully qualified team of counsellors and experts who are highly experienced in personal and work-related issues and can support anyone suffering with issues including but not limited to:
- Depression, anxiety, stress
- Grief and bereavement
- Addictions
- Relationship and marital problems
- Work stress and work-life balance issues
- Workplace conflict and communication
- Life transitions such as career progression or retirement
The service also provides support and advice for any stress, anxiety or worry you are experiencing as a result of more practical non-clinical based issues that you may be facing, including:
- Financial Advice
- Legal Advice
- Mediation
- Career guidance
- Life/Parent Coaching
- Dietitian
- Nutritionist
- Physiotherapy
Employees can avail of a 30-minute phone consultation per issue with a relevant Expert Service Provider in a 12-month period. The relevant expert can provide support or highlight other relevant external services that may be required.
(Timeframe: Monday to Friday 9am -5pm and offer of a phone consultation within five business days.)
(*) Your first interaction with the service will be through the English Language but for further sessions counsellors who speak your first language (incl. Irish) can be sourced. However, it may mean meeting your counsellor remotely rather than face to face depending on geographical location of staff member and counsellor.
