Open research aims to increase openness, transparency and reproducibility across all parts of the research lifecycle. It is based on the principle that knowledge produces the greatest impact and benefit if it is shared as widely as possible.

This 1-hour session provides an introduction to Open Research and ways you can embed it in all stages of your research lifecycle.

Topics covered will include

  • open access publishing
  • responsible use of metrics
  • licencing your work
  • open data
  • open software

Open Research aligns with the aim of the University’s strategic plan to advance DCU’s research reputation, to ensure that its research reaches a global audience, and with the University’s mission of transforming lives and society.
