Course Aims:
This course will show learners how to develop an appreciation of the importance of preparing for meetings, practice improving listening skills, gain an understanding of what needs to be recorded, practice taking down notes, the importance of plain English and look at how to produce the final professional document

Learning Outcomes:

By the end of the course each learner will be able to:

  • Understand the role and responsibilities of the minute-taker
  • Plan effectively for the meeting
  • Create minutes that are a clear, concise, accurate record of salient points of a meeting
  • Listen more effectively and take shorter notes
  • Structure the minutes with a clear core message and layout
