DCU to host National Moot Court Competition 2018
This year's National Moot Court Competition, hosted by Dublin City University and sponsored by Matheson, will take place at the Criminal Courts of Justice Complex on Parkgate Street, Dublin on Saturday, 10 November, 2018.
Each institution can enter a maximum of 5 teams with teams comprised of 3 students.
Entry deadline: 17:00 on Monday, 22 October, 2018.

Entrance fee: €25 per team
Written submission deadline: 17:00 on Friday, 2 November, 2018.
Prizes: The Winning Team will receive €200 worth of one-for-all vouchers and the Best Speaker in the Final will receive €100 worth of one-for-all vouchers. There will also be a €60 prize (in one-for-all voucher format) for the Best Memorials. There are prizes for the Winning Team, Best Speaker in the Final and Best Memorials.
This year's problem revolves around two orange juice makers locked in a case of passing off and misrepresentation of similar products. Students are required to prepare written submissions for the Plaintiff/Appellant and written submissions for the Defendant/ Respondent. Students will deliver oral arguments on 10 November at the Criminal Courts of Justice.
