Guest Lecture - Professor Priyankar Upadhyay

On Monday, 5th October 2015 at 2.00 pm one of India's leading professors will speak in DCU on Indian Foreign Policy - one year on after the election of Prime Minister Modi.

Professor Priyankar Upadhyay from BHU in Varanasi, India is India's only UNESCO chair and a leading expert on conflict resolution.

As one of the world's fastest growing economies and the second largest most populist state in the world,  India is having an increasing impact in world affairs.  However, it is also a country with high levels of internal poverty and with difficult relations with many of its neighbours making its foreign policy a facilitating study.
