The Healthcare Interpreting Practice micro-credentials course is aimed at interpreters who who speak Ukrainian, Russian or Arabic are currently working in the medical sector or who are interested in working in this setting.
Students will have the opportunity to practise interpreting role-plays of typical scenarios that arise in GP surgeries and in hospitals. Please note that there will need to be at least two students per language.
Students will work on glossaries, get feedback from their peers and will have the opportunity to discuss issues. The end of course assessment will be an interpreting exam. This course will be taught online on Monday evenings from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. commencing in January and ending in April.

- The Department of Health may also subsidise fees
Please Note: Applicants may not apply to take more than 30 credits of micro-credentials.
Applicants should hold at least the equivalent of a 2.2 undergraduate degree in any discipline

- A scanned copy of your passport
- Academic Transcripts for each and every year of study with English translation, if applicable
