Ethics of Digital Nudging
Paul Kuyer works as a PhD candidate on the ethics of digital nudging at Dublin City University. He is part of the International Training Network PROTECT. He has a background in philosophy, economics and business. He received a BSc in Economics and Business-economics and BA in Philosophy from the University of Groningen and a MSc in Business Information Management and a MA in Philosophy from the Erasmus University Rotterdam.
Paul’s PhD focuses on the ethical problems that arise due to the collection of consumer data, enabling firms to predict and manufacture the behaviour of consumers. He investigates what consequences digital nudges have for our autonomy, well-being, and economy.
