  • Children celebrating the launch of Wild Neighbourhood, which takes place on Saturday, June 10th from 1pm – 5pm on DCU All Hallows campus

DCU goes Wild for Cruinniú na n?g

To celebrate Cruinniú na n?g 2023, Dublin City University has partnered with Grasshopper 大发体育在线_大发体育-投注|官网 to present a mini-arts and environmental festival for young families. This festival explores creative ways to make room for nature in our city, highlighting the urban wildlife and habitat of DCU All Hallows campus situated in Drumcondra, Dublin 9.

The University is delighted to be joining in on the hundreds of events taking place countrywide to celebrate Ireland’s national day of creativity for children and young people.

DCU President Prof Dáire Keogh said

“The University is delighted to make its contribution to the national Cruinniú na n?g celebration with the inaugural Wild Neighbourhood event. This mini-festival will spark children's creativity and curiosity while reminding all of us about the need to protect and cherish biodiversity in our cities.

“DCU is a ‘University of Place’ and Wild Neighbourhood also gives us a fresh opportunity to invite our neighbours to explore and enjoy our beautiful All Hallows campus.”

Wild Neighbourhood has engaged with artists and creatives to develop art workshops, performances, nature tours, games, poetry and a school outreach project with Grace Park Educate Together NS. Featuring DCU’s homegrown talent including the Campus Choir and Jazz and Trad Ensembles as well as special guests. This festival is inspired by the local habitat including the local animals, birds, trees and plants of the All Hallows campus grounds.

    • Circus Workshops & Family Games Tournament with Mr. Fox
    • Pop Up Library Lair for Book Worms
