Academic biography
I am an Assistant Professor in Computer Science in the School of Computing since 2022. I received MSc. in Computer Networks from Al Akhawayn University in Ifrane, Morocco and Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Montreal, Canada. My research for the past 8 years has focused on developing advanced expertise in performance optimisation, protocol design, and network security. In my thesis, I focused on enhancing the quality of service of time-sensitive infotainment applications in the context of connected vehicles. My postdoctoral research expanded these interests to include studies of scalability and resiliency in cloud computing along with blockchain-enabled solutions for next generation networks (5G/6G). I have published 40+ peer-reviewed scientific articles in top journals and flagship conferences. I have also served as a member of the technical programme committee of several international conferences and am the guest editor of Electronics (IF = 2.9) SI on 5G Technology and IoT. I have been (Co-)supervising PhD and Master students for the past 3 years.
