I chose the MA in Refugee Integration Studies as I am a refugee and have experience working with refugees and asylum seekers. I decided to pursue an MA in Refugee Integration Studies. In addition, I am motivated by my passion for social justice and my goal of improving the lives of refugees. I felt that this degree would provide me the information and abilities I need to effectively assist and represent marginalised populations.
The most memorable aspect of my time at DCU was getting to know individuals who shared my enthusiasm for aiding refugees. It was wonderful having a broad collection of students from various backgrounds in my class. The most memorable experience was attending a trauma-informed practice residential in Corrymeela.
In addition to pursuing my PHD, my career goals include carrying on with my work with refugees. Studies on refugees can be difficult and emotionally charged, but you can learn more about their challenges and experiences if you approach the topic with empathy and an open mind. While learning about this crucial subject, don't forget to take care of yourself and ask for help when you need it.
