Janet O'Connor
I started my degree in humanities when I was an English language teacher in a secondary school with the aim of branching out into teaching humanities subjects.
Managing the workload of the degree whilst working fulltime and juggling family responsibilities was not easy, but it was made possible with the supportive staff at DCU.
I have since changed careers, and while my degree may not be directly associated to my work now, the experience of the degree program has positively impacted not only how I work, but my life in general. And I know that I have my degree if ever I should need it.
A degree in humanities is a starting point for many different careers.
