At the invitation of the Joe McHugh, TD, Minister for Education and Skills, representatives of the General Synod Board of Education (RI) attended a top level symposium, involving all stakeholders and partners in education, on the role and future of small primary schools.
Archbishop Michael Jackson, chair of the General Synod Board of Education, Rev. Prof. Anne Lodge, member of the GS Board of Education and Director of the Church of Ireland Centre DCU attended along with Dr. Ken Fennelly, Secretary to the GS Board and Ms. Eimear Ryan, Solicitor serving the GS Board. Rev. Prof. Lodge wrote a briefing document on small schools for the delegation.
