PGAC committee members
The Head of PGAC this year is Gemma. Gemma is a second-year PhD student working under the supervision of Dr David O'Connor in the field of aerobiology. Their research focuses on pollen monitoring in Ireland, aiming to better understand and predict pollen patterns and their effects on the environment and public health.
Zarah is a second-year PhD student from Dr Nessan Kerrigan's group and will be the secretary for this year. Her research involves investigating new methods for the catalytic synthesis of therapeutic nucleosides
Patrick is a first-year PhD student from Prof. Mary Pryce's group. Their research involves the development of new photocatalytic systems to generate hydrogen gas as a clean energy source from water.
Rebecca is from Dr David O'Connor group. Her research focuses on examining the sources and pathways of persistent, mobile and toxic compounds in Irish water.
Colm is a second-year PhD student working under Prof. Tia Keyes. Their research focuses on the development of TTA-UC systems for application in bioimaging and biotherapeutics
