DCU to host virtual National Moot Court Competition 2021

National Moot Court Competition 2021, hosted by Dublin City University and sponsored by A&L Goodbody, will take place on Saturday, 20th November, 2021. This year's competition will take place in an entirely virtual format.

Each institution can enter a maximum of 5 teams with teams comprised of 3 students.

Entry deadline: 5.00 pm, Monday October 25th 2021

Entrance fee: No fee this year.

Recorded Oral Submission deadline: 5.00pm Friday November 5th 2021

Written Submission deadline: 5.00 pm Friday November 5th 2021

Live Finalists announced: Friday 12th November 2021

Prizes: There are prizes for the Winning Team, Best Speaker in the Final and Best Memorials. 

This year's problem revolves around the tort of passing off. Students are required to prepare written submissions for the Plaintiff/Appellant and written submissions for the Defendant/ Respondent. Students will deliver oral arguments on 20th November, 2021.
