Business & Law - (Im)Migration Law & Policy
Are you researching migration law or policies? Would you like to present your research?
Call for Abstracts
An estimated 258 million people, approximately 3 per cent of the world's population, currently live outside their country of origin. Many of whose migration is characterised by varying degrees of compulsion, or because of free movement within the EU. While migration is a positive and empowering experience for many, it is becoming increasingly evident that there is a lack of human rights-based migration governance at the global, regional and national levels. This situation leads to the routine violation of migrants' rights in transit, at international borders, and in the countries, they migrate.
The colloquium will provide a platform for researchers and research students to present and share their research and how it contributes to or impacts society. The researchers will also have an opportunity to receive feedback. There will be a prize of €100 for the best abstract and the best presentation.
Abstract selection will consider how well the research goal is explained and how it will impact the society. Contributions can cover any area of migration law and policy. The conference aims to offer researchers, experts, scholars, and policymakers an opportunity to engage in a constructive debate on migration law and policy.
