JOBS: Teaching Assistant in Law 10-month Contract

The School of Law and Government offers programmes in Law both at undergraduate and graduate level, including a BCL (recognised by the Honorable Society of King's Inns as an approved law degree), a BA in Economics, Politics and Law, law as a Joint Honours BA subject, a LLM, a Master in European Law and Policy, a MA in Data Protection and Privacy Law, and a PhD programme. The School has a particular interest in socio-legal studies and promotes interdisciplinary research, through the DCU Brexit Institute and Law Research Centre.  It is also known for its strong tradition of clinical legal education.

The School of Law and Government intends to appoint a new Teaching Assistant in Law, on a ten-month contract, to begin on 1 September 2020.

Applicants for the position should be qualified to a post-graduate level. The successful candidate should have experience of teaching standard common law subjects. Applicants should also be capable of working in a team to deliver high-quality online teaching to undergraduates.

Salary Scale Teaching Assistant:      €29,060 - €32,204*

* Appointment will be commensurate with qualifications and experience, and will be made on the appropriate point of the Teaching Assistant salary scale in line with current Government pay policy.
